Type is my Favorite.

I know, I know. I say that a lot of things are my favorite. But really, truly, type is way up there in the list of my favorites. Why? Because it's information AND design. Lettering and Love. That's why I've created this two-course set, which explores lettering from several different perspectives, AND gives you hands-on experience in the context of eight gorgeous projects.

Course 1: Type-Ology Workshop

This is one of my bestselling courses for a reason! This course provides a broad overview of the history of type and its major styles, but mostly focuses in on providing hands-on experience downloading, combining and creating with lots of different fonts. This ten-lesson course contains more than 12 hours of video instruction, and at the end of class, you'll have SEVEN new projects, as well as a strong grasp of various type styles.

And of course, it wouldn't be a Jessica Sprague class if it didn't have cute Photoshop brushes and patterned papers to accent our work, so you'll love the variety of materials that accompany each project!

Course 2: Glyph By Glyph

When Adobe announced that its flagship Photoshop CC program would be providing access to glyphs, I was really, really excited. Like running laps in the backyard excited. That's because type designers have been including additional stylistic characters in their fonts for a long time, but we haven't been able to access them without another piece of software. The Glyphs palette (which was available in 2 other Adobe applications and not Photoshop, wah) enables us to access all the beautiful alternate characters in OpenType fonts. Some of my favorite (there's that word again) fonts have several hundred characters in them, enabling a designer to customize their lettering work perfectly. Seriously this is the LOVE.

So suddenly - if you subscribe to Adobe Photoshop CC - we have access to so many other creative possibilities. This is the biggest update in years. And I'm so excited to show you how to use glyphs! We will (of course) do that in the context of a gorgeous project. Because learning is fun, of course. But learning while also and at the same time making something gorgeous is the best.
